Epoxy resins have good mechanical and electrical characteristics, good adhesion and resistance to temperature and thermal shocks, humidity and chemical agents and a low polymerization shrinkage. They are available in one-component version, reactive in the presence of heat or two-component, they cure through a hardening agent, both at room and at high temperature. At the end of the hardening process, the resin is generally rigid or semi-rigid.
The fields of use are manifold. They are used for high and low voltage applications, for the potting of electrical components, such as filters, capacitors, relays, resistors, the encapsulation of igniters, transformers, capacitors, semiconductors, stators, submersible pumps and the impregnation of industrial magnets, coils, cables for the transmission of energy and telecommunications and electronic cards.
Our Elan-tron® brand products ensure optimal protection and cover a wide spectrum of mechanical, electrical and self-extinguishing properties. Many of our systems are approved UL 94 and other UL standards such as 746B. Some are also certified for use in railway applications (EN 45545 or NF F 16-101) and are present in ATEX approved components.
